Construction Tips
Tip1:
Ensure either the pre-nailed truss or frame manufacture / supplier or builder takes their own site measured dimensions where required, that way there is no come back should you supply incorrect dimensions. Suppliers will often work off plans, but they should check all dimensions on site (C.O.S) themselves, or make it your builders responsibility. The Pre-Nailed Roof & Frame supplier made two roof trusses on our house the wrong size, as well as having a few studs in the wrong place, and as a consequence they were required to send a builder at their own expense for two days to fix up their mistakes. If I supplied 'as-built' dimensions it would have been at my cost to rectify the framing.
Building Contracts and Specifications (if signed) will often state the responsibilities of the "contractors"
